In the good reputation for the Rocky Mountain tops, there has been many bears that roamed the lake and fields. Earlier settlers understood the personality of these creatures, and that it hadn't been wise to sneak up on a keep and shock him. There was one such grizzly in whose tale continues to be told at a number of campfires to nervous youthful scouts who want to know about Old Ephraim. He was commonly known as InchAged Three FeetInch because of a disability on a single feet. He roamed the lake from Soda pop Springs, Los angeles to the Logan Canyon in northern Utah from 1911 to 1923.

The evidence from the power and strength of this keep was scary. At some point, he bit a thirteen-foot record, 12 inches across, into 11 lengths as though they were cut. He also bit off a six-inch aspen arm or leg in only one bite, that was 9 ft and eleven inches over the ground. He even shattered the back of a cow with just 1 whack of his gigantic foot.

For 12 years, he'd been causing havoc within the towns. Old 3 Toes do some main damage to the flocks, debilitating sheep owners financially. He lastly chance Aged Ephraim on July 21, 1923. The grizzly measured at precisely 9 feet and 11 inches tall, and weighed 1100 lbs. A couple weeks after he was wiped out, a Young man Youth Club made up the skull of the keep and delivered it towards the Smithsonian Institute to record what sort of bear it had been and found it had become certainly a grizzly.

The research about this grizzly was intriguing in my experience since i had heard about Old Ephraim for a long time. I was from the southern area of Los angeles and the story was incredible. After reading concerning the grizzly from the brochure named InchAged EphraimInch written by Newell J. Crookston (1959), I decided to construct a historical fiction book with Aged Ephraim included in the story, using every bit from the information learned out of this little brochure. "Jennys Desire" may be the story of the young girls desire to become writer and how she finds love in their backyard, with the legend of Aged Three Toes as the subplot.

The story of Old Ephraim still endures, being retold at campfires, by search leaders, as well as in the town of Malad, Los angeles. Mother and father and grandparents retell this exciting tale towards the youngsters, recounting the ten-foot grizzly that wreaked a lot havoc on the towns. ...
